Here’s a little bit of information to help you determine if we are a good fit.
Background & Training:
I am a trained Marriage & Family therapist (LMFT) with a concentration on couple and sex therapy. I also hold another Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed) with a focus on Human Sexuality and Clinical Sexology. I have completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy and am working towards certification. Most recently, I have become certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Recently I have become a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich, to further assist couples in preparing for committed partnership and/or strengthening their existing relationship. I have over 15 years of experience in individual, couple and family therapy. I also conduct workshops and engage in public speaking on the topics of family creation, perinatal mental health & loss, integrating sexual health, and family of origin impacts on relational health. I have been known to do some adjunct teaching as well. Lastly, I am on the tail-end of a doctoral program in Human Sexuality Studies.
